New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta today visited Balaji Action and Sanjay Gandhi Hospitals to meet those Delhi Fire Service personnel who got injured in Peeragarhi fire. He praised them for their bravery and wished them speedy recovery. He said that BJP stands by the injured personnel and affected families and will provide them all possible support and help.
LOP expressed today deep pain on the tragic and untimely death of the brave fireman Amit Balyan who met a valiant end in Peeragarhi fire. He said that Amit has written his name in golden letters in the great tradition of ultimate sacrifice of the Delhi Fire Service. He said that the brave action of Delhi Fire Service and NRDF personnel saved the lives of many people. We salute their bravery and sacrifice, he added.
Leader of Opposition demanded compensation of Rs. 1 crore to Amit Balyan. He demanded compensation of Rs. 5 lakhs and the best possible treatment to those injured. He also sought strict punishment to guilty on the basis of magisterial inquiry into the incident.
