The Indian Youth Congress offers its deepest condolences at the untimely demise of West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Somen Mitra ji. Somen Mitra ji breathed his last today morning and the whole Congress family is deeply shocked and saddened at the loss of a great leader and a greater human being. Shri Somen Mitra ji was a source of inspiration for us at the IYC and his contributions to the party will never be forgotten.
Deeply saddened at the passing away of the great soul, IYC National President Srinivas B.V. ji expressed his condolences and said, “Somen Mitra ji was the guiding star for the West Bengal Congress family and an inspiration for us at the IYC. Shri Somen Mitra was a people’s man and the void left by his untimely demise has left a vaccum never to be filled by anyone. He was a great politician and leader of the people. His work as the State President of the Indian Youth Congress proved to be very significant in the state of West Bengal. We pray for his family and extend our condolences to them.”
