New Delhi: To continue with its angry attacks against the BJP Government at the Centre and the AamAadmi Party Government in Delhi for their wrong policies, and to protest against the economic ruin, lock-outs, unemployment and hunger, Delhi Congress, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra, will start the first phase of the Halla-Bol Rally from tomorrow, Saturday, 16th November, 2019.
Chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma announced here today that as part of the first phase of the Halla Bol rally, to be held in all the 14 districts from 16 to 25 November, an Aakrosh Rally will be held at R.K.Puram on Saturday from 4 p.m. Shri Sharma said that after the Aakrosh Rally, Congress workers will also hold demonstration at the main markets.
Besides Shri Subhash Chopra, prominent others addressing the Aakrosh Rally would be former Union Minister Shri Ajay Maken, Dr Narendra Nath and many other senior leaders of the party. District president Advocate Virender Kasana will preside over the meeting.
Shri Subhash Chopra and Shri Mukesh Sharma said that Delhi, the Capital of the country, was facing wide-spread unemployment and shut down of businesses. They said that on the one hand, people were hasseled by the GST rate, and on the other hand, demonetization has ruined the small and medium level shopkeepers/traders and industrialists, who are on the verge of starvation. Shri Chopra and Shri Sharma said that the economy of the country was in a disarray, and was facing the worst meltdown in the past 72 years. They said that India, which was the 5th biggest economy in the world, has now slipped to the 7th position, due to the wrong policies of the Modi Government, and there was no sign of the economy reviving any time soon.
Shri Mukesh Sharma appealed to the Congress workers and the general public to participate in large numbers in the Pol Khol programme of the Delhi Congress to register their strong protest against the BJP Government at the Centre, responsible for the economic ruin of the country. Shri Sharma said that the Congress workers should join hands with the local people to hold the rally at the ward level. Congress workers are working hard round-the-clock to make the Pol Khol programme against the Central Government a big success.
