Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra said that lakhs of people from across the country will participate in the “Bharat Bachao Rally”, to be organized by the Congress party at the Ramlila ground tomorrow, Saturday, 14th November, to protest against the economic slump, unemployment, poverty, distress in the farm and industrial sectors, soaring prices of essential goods, including vegetables, onions, petrol and diesel and other issues created by the BJP Government’s destructive policies. He said that final touches were being given till late in the evening for the arrangements of the rally. He said that Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders, including CWC members, will address the rally.
Large hoardings of Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi have been put up all around the Ramlila ground and across Delhi. Shri Chopra said that the Congress party has launched an aggressive campaign for the promotion of the rally and a 10-km radius of the rally venue has been decorated with tri-colour flags and banners.
Shri Subhash Chopra and Shri Mukesh Sharma said that Delhi Congress has formed over 100 teams to receive visitors from across the country and take them to the Ramlila ground. They said that party flags have been put up from the borders of the Capital to the Ramlila ground. Water kiosks have also been setup for the benefit of Congress workers coming for the rally.
Shri Subhash Chopra said that Delhi Congress has also made arrangement to receive visitors coming from other States at the Delhi Airport and Railway Stations. Congress workers have setup reception centres at all the arrival points of the railway stations.
Shri Subhash Chopra appealed to the Congress workers and people of Delhi in general to use the metro to avoid traffic jams to reach the rally venue on time. He said that people from Najafgarh, Nangloi, Bawana, Mehrauli, Badarpur and Loni will use the metro to reach the rally venue. Congress workers will be stationed at the metro stations to welcome the workers for the rally.
