New Delhi: Today Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, National Spokesperson and New Delhi MP launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party before a gathering of about one thousand people at Hanuman Mandir, CP, New Delhi and Karol Bagh Metro Station Gate No.2. The Bhartiya Janata Party on Saturday had released a “Chargesheet” against the Arvind Kejriwal government, alleging that it “misguided and befooled” the people in the last five years and “failed” to fulfill the promises made before the 2015 assembly election.
Taking it further, Smt. Lekhi lambasted AAP government for indulging in cheap publicity and advertisements and not working for the people of Delhi. She also alleged that AAP had failed to fulfill its promises and now have also removed their manifesto from AAP website. The AAP government was unable to provide clean water to the people of Delhi and today people are forced to buy water from outside and they say they are providing free water. She questioned what kind of free water is this. People voted AAP for a corruption free government and on Jan Lokpal Bill. Then why didn’t they bring Jan Lokpal till date. The real point is the money sanctioned for providing infrastructure has been utilized for self publicity by AAP government. Delhi’s budget was Rs 113 crores surplus when they came to power but today Delhi’s budget is in deficit of Rs 5399 crores.
She alleged AAP had promised for 500 new schools and 20 new colleges but failed to fulfill it. They have built rooms at the whopping cost of Rs 29 lakhs in schools which could have easily be done at 3-4 lakhs rupees. The AAP government has totally failed and now people of Delhi will give befitting reply to them in the upcoming elections.
