

Shri Suresh Prabhu, former cabinet minister inaugurated the CII – Young Indians National Essay Writing Competition for the students studying in Schools and Colleges across the country today at an interactive session held at Hotel Claridge’s Delhi.
To commemorate the 75th Year of Indian Independence and 20th Year of Young Indians, CII – Yi is celebrating Yi Utsav and has planned a series of activities throughout the year around Literature, Performing Arts, Science Festival, Film and Media, Games and Leadership Challenge.
The National Essay Competition is one of the events in the series of events being conducted across multiple categories depending upon the class the student is studying in. The participation will be free and children can send their entries in English or Hindi.
While inaugurating
Mr. Prabhu during his interaction with the members of Young Indian Fraternity, who are primarily professionals and entrepreneurs spoke at length about his journey and experiences in life. He shared his views on varied topics ranging from Employment, Indian Economy, Education, Cryptocurrency and how today’s youth can contribute and participate in the growth of the nation.
Mr Rohit Puri, National Co Chair, India @ 75 initiatives, said “The Yi Utsav is a platform to celebrate the 75th Year of Indian Independence and recognize the budding talent of our country leveraging the rich culture, knowledge, and diversity that our great nation offers. CII – Yi through Yi Utsav will utilize its strong network to be a co-participant in the Government of Indian celebration – Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav as well”
Mr Rohan Rohatgi, Chair, Yi Noida, said “Soon Yi will be announcing a Yi Utsav Parade that will be conducted across the country on 12th August show casing cultural diversity and Indian Freedom movement.”
Mr Gaurav Mittal, Co Chair, Yi Noida, said “Mr. Prabhu has donned many hats during his journey starting from being a Professional CA, to holding various ministries and now a Chancellor of a University. Economy, Politics and Education are facets that effect our lives. Interacting with Mr. Prabhu gave us multiple perspectives on these topics.”
