New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra asserted that the Congress party has been forcefully opposing the Citizens Amendment Act from day one, and will continue to do so.
Replying to a question at a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today, Shri Subhash Chopra said that if any kind of force is applied on the peaceful agitation by women at Shahin Bagh and students at Okha, the Congress will oppose it. He said that he was saluting the brave women and students who were holding peaceful agitations against the Citizenship Amendment Act despite the chilling cold. Shri Chopra made it clear that the Congress party will never forgive the BJP Government at the Centre for the high-handed actions against the students of Jamia and JNU. He said that the Congress party has extended open support to the students.
