New Delhi: A Vishal Vyapari Sammelan was held at Talkatora Stadium today which was presided over by BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari. The purpose of this program was to thank Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi for the proper development of traders with the help of the policies of Central Government. This conference was addressed by Union Ministers Shri Piyush Goyal, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Vijay Goel and LOP Shri Vijender Gupta. Thousands of traders present in the programme raised their voice Dilli Ke Vyapari Modi Ji Ke Saath. The meeting was conducted by Delhi BJP General Secretary Shri Ravinder Gupta. Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, BJP National Vice President and Delhi Incharge Shri Shyam Jaju, MPs Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh, Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, MLA Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Pradesh General Secretaries Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Shri Rajesh Bhatia, Treasurer Shri Vishnu Mittal, Shri Praveen Khandelwal, Traders Cell Convener Shri Gulshan Gugnani, Shri Satish Garg and Shri Sulekh Aggarwal were also present on this occasion.
Union Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri said that the traders have always fought in the interest of the country and due to the resources of the traders India was called Sone Ki Chidiya. It is necessary to know the reason behind sealing. On 24th March, 2026, there was a case namely MC Mehta vs Government of India before the Supreme Court. In this case, the Supreme Court decided that the buildings in violating of Master Plan-2021 will be sealed. A committee was formed under the Chairmanship of former IAS Officer Bhure Lal in 2006 but this committee did not do anything till 2017. Now, the question arises how could the committee formed in 2006 know about the Master Plan 2021? Today, the population of Delhi is over 2 crores and the conditions have changed.
Shri Hardeep Singh Puri further said that BJP is not in power in Delhi for the last 21 years. Country progresses with the development in trade. Since, 1947, BJP has been standing by the traders and it will stand by in future also. 40 lakh people out of these two crores were such who were branded as unauthorized. The Supreme Court had refused to recognize the GPA in unauthorized colonies and sealing was being done on the orders of Supreme Court. There was a Map of unauthorized colony on the website of Delhi Government. Just after taking over as Minister in 2017, I inquired about the regularization of unauthorized colonies through a letter to Kejriwal Government. Kejriwal Government sought time of two years in this connection and again sought extension of two years. Modi ji made a historic decision to regularize the unauthorized colonies and confer ownership rights and today, maps of the colonies have been prepared within three weeks and registration process has started. Kejriwal is even today making misleading statements about unauthorized colonies. I want to assure that traders that Modi Government is committed to their total development.
