New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra launched a 120-second theme song “Congress Wali Dilli” for the party’s campaign for the Delhi Assembly elections at a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. Shri Chopra said that the Congress Government then shifted its focus on improving the infrastructure and built 67 flyovers to ease traffic jams and make the Ring Road signal-free. He said that the Congress also started the Delhi metro project to create a new model for public transport which has been hailed the world over, to make Delhi one of the best cities in the world. He said that the Congress Government also increased the green cover and turned public transport into CNG fuel to win the UN award for the best green city. Shri Subhash Chopra said that it was the Congress Government that made Delhi kerosene-free.
Shri Kirti Azad said that the Congress party was synonymous for development. He said that whenever Congress comes to power, Delhi surges ahead in development, and it was the Congress Government that changed the face of Delhi to make it an international-standard city during its 15-year rule. He said that had Congress been in power in Delhi, the Capital would have attained the best position in development index. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party Government did nothing for the development of Delhi in the past five years, as it only misled the people through newspaper advertisements. Shri Kirti Azad said that there was a vast difference in the words and deeds of the Kejriwal Government.
Shri Rohan Gupta said that Congress party’s election campaign will be based on the achievements of the party and not on negativity. He said that Congress party was putting thrust in using the social media platform in a creative and positive manner. He said that the people of Delhi are now recalling the development-oriented governance by the Congress Government as under the AAP rule, development works had come to a grinding halt in the Capital. He said that the party’s song “Congress Wali Dilli” recalls the party’s achievements when it was in power in Delhi. He said that the party’s 120-minute song will be played in every nook and corner of Delhi.

He said that Congress workers were very active at the polling- booth levels in preparation for the Assembly elections. He said that the overwhelming support Congress is getting from the people is a clear indication that Congress will come back to power in Delhi with a thumping majority.
