New Delhi: It was a proud moment for Gujarat on this Republic Day as tableau based on the theme ‘Har Ghar Nal’ won the first prize on the 71st republic day celebration held in New Delhi on 26th January. This award was jointly given to NDRF and Jalshakti tableau.
The prize-winning tableau of the Central government’s Jal Shakti department and team was designed by Ahmedabad based designer Manish Bardia and crafted by his company Moving Pixels Pvt Ltd, Ahmedabad.
This Republic day, two tableaus connected to Gujarat passed through the glorious lane of Janpath – one represented the state while the other one which represented the central government’s Jal Shakti department was designed in Gujarat.
The tableau themed ‘Har Ghar Nal, Har Ghar Jal’ was attractively designed, pulling the attention of the people and dignitaries alike.
The tableau depicted a giant water tap and a huge water pot made of hundreds of small pots. A pipeline took water from a water tank to a giant tap, and it then reached many small pots.
It was wondrous to see that these taps would change the lives of many millions of households, especially women. Enabling them to lead a better life and contributing more to their families.
Even more innovative was the concept of human figures wearing specially designed drop-shaped costume while dancing and skating on the floor as the tableau passed by.
Manish, being an expert designer, creates lively designs giving a human touch.
Designers from all across the country come up with their best ideas to design these tableaus. This tableau serves as an inspiration for young designers who want to experiment with their creative pursuits.
This is the third occasion when Moving Pixels Pvt Ltd begged prestigious presidential awards. It had earlier won the first prize for tableaus showcasing Digital India in 2016 and Skill India in 2017.
