New Delhi: BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Manoj Tiwari addressed press conference alongwith representatives of Rehari Patari Sangathan at the Pradesh Office today. Kejriwal’s party had promised the street vendors that its government will frame a law to regularize their business within 90 days of coming to power. But after coming to power the Chief Minister has not framed any law even after 58 months of his tenure. Aam Admi Party government betrayed the street vendors because it has failed to frame a law for them. Pradesh Secretary Shri Satendra Singh, Purvanchal Morcha President Shri Manish Singh, Pradesh Media In-charge Shri Pratyush Kanth, Co-incharge Shri Neelkanth Bakshi, Media Head Shri Ashok Goel Devraha and President of Rehari Patari Sangathan Shri Sagar Yadav alongwith the members of this organization were also present in the press conference.
Addressing the media person, Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that on the 23rd September, in a meeting with the members of Rehari Patari Sangathan at Constitution Club it was pointed out that the Aam Admi Party has not fulfilled the promises made to the street vendors and they grabbed their votes by misleading them. The Chief Minister of Delhi is not concerned about the sufferings of the street vendors who are running from pillar to post for the ventilation of their grievances but Delhi Government is not ready to listen to them. Aam Admi Party assured them but it has also betrayed them. Delhi BJP has always raised their problems and stands with them.
Shri Tiwari said that Chief Minister Kejriwal has wasted his 58 months of tenure in false vision but never worked for the development of Delhi. The day on which the Rehari Patari Sangathan held meeting in the Constitution Club, Chief Minister also held the meeting in the evening and announced that he will solve their problem within a month. These people believed in the assurance of Kejriwal and gave him one month time. Now after the lapse of three months it remains unsolved. The street vendors have their demands and Delhi BJP stands with them. Our vision is that, after coming to power we will fulfill the demands of street vendors. They have been demanding that law should be framed to regularize their business and due to lack of such law they are suffering. Their goods are seized and never returned and as a result they suffer a lot.
Shri Tiwari said that the Town Vending Committees should be given power but this committee should not pick and choose. There is also need of local heads for proper working of the committee. Hon’ble High Court has given direction that the street vendors should not be removed till alternative arrangements are not made. We will expose the false promises made by Chief Minister Kejriwal in the Parliament also. Survey should be conducted and law should be framed to regularize the business of street vendors.
Rehari Patari Sangathan President Shri Sagar Yadav said that Kejriwal Government has not only betrayed the street vendors but also cheated them. Delhi Government promised to form TVCs but even after 58 months this work has not been completed. 28 committees were to be formed but only 20-25 committees have been formed till date and the term of the present government is going to end. It is the failure of Delhi Government that it has not found solution of this problem and complicated the issue. Our only demand is that law and rules should be framed to regularize the business of the street vendors as soon as possible.
