BJP delegation meets Police Commissioner and demands stern against the guilty persons

New Delhi: In a press conference held at Delhi BJP Office today, Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Towari has strongly condemned the violent protest demonstration against Citizenship Amendment Act yesterday. He said that Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are trying to vitiate the atmosphere of Delhi. Two videos were displayed in the press conference. In the first video, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been shown accusing Delhi Police and BJP for instigating violence in a tweet with wrong photo and video. Whereas the bus about which Manish Sisodia is claiming to have been burnt is shown in a good condition by a TV channel and a policeman is trying to extinguish the fire in a seat of the bus. In another video, it has been shown that AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has provoked the people by his controversial statement after which violence erupted in Okhla. Pradesh General Secretary Shri Rajesh Bhatia, Pradesh Media Co-incharge Shri Neelkanth Bakshi and Media Head Shri Ashok Goel Devraha were also present in the press conference.

Addressing the media persons, Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is very much concerned about the violent demonstration by the students protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act in the country and also appealed to desist from spreading rumors and wrong statements. Prime Minister has assured that people of any community or any religion will not be harmed by the Citizenship Amendment Act. Shri Tiwari also informed that a delegation of BJP leaders today met the Police Commissioner and demanded stern against the guilty persons. A memorandum has been submitted by the delegation in which it has been said that the allegations against the police and BJP are wrong, in support of which the facts have been given and demand has been made for comprehensive investigation.

Shri Tiwari said that the way in which thousands of students of Jamia Millia Islamia University are staging violent demonstration is very terrifying but Delhi government instead of appealing for peace, is provoking for violence. Many media persons have been injured in this violent demonstration and today a cameraman of ANI was injured in the incident and is in serious condition. The speech of MLA of Aam Aadmi Party is very provocative and fuelling violence but Chief Minister Kejriwal is protecting him. The Congress leaders are also supporting violent demonstration.

Appealing the students to maintain peace Shri Tiwari said that AAP and Congress are using the students for their political gain and encouraging violent acts. Both the parties are with infiltrators and hence don’t believe them. Kejriwal should answer was attempt made to burn alive the people sitting in the buses? Are they hatching conspiracy to commit crime like Godhara in Delhi? Why a minister of Kejriwal is misleading the people by circulating wrong video? This is not a political issue because Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are supporting the people who were raising slogan like ‘Hinduon Ki Kabar Khudegi, AMU Ki Dharti Par’. People of Delhi have already seen that how Kejriwal government and Congress are trying to take political advantage of this sensitive issue and adding fuel to fire.
