Wat a great start of this New Year 2020. Mr. Vivek Garg started this year with aradhana of Prabhu Rama and Hanuman ji and prayed and wished that there be peace and harmony everywhere. He also wished everyone a great and happy 2020.
Who is Vivek Garg?
Vivek Garg, an Advocate and RTI activist, did his graduation from Delhi University and Post Graduation in Law (LLB) from UP. As a young student, he started his fight against corruption at high places in our society. Continuing his fight, Vivek has so far filed about 15,000 RTI applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act to unearth corruption.
Vivek firmly believes that India can win the war not only by bullet but also by the pen. He used his pen as a weapon to fight corruption as he firmly believes that corruption is the most dangerous form of cancer, damaging our country. He effectively used the RTI Act to expose specially the decision – makers sitting in corridors of power, from where the corruption starts.
Among a large number of scams/corruption cases, unearthed by Vivek, prominent ones include Commonwealth Games (CWG) scam, Delhi’s famous CNG Fitness Transport Scam, Sugar Scam, Onion Scam, ISRO S-band spectrum scam, low – floor buses scam, crude oil scam and land scam of Delhi. He strongly believes that it is the duty of every citizen to check the corruption at every step as ultimately loser of corruption is the public.
He also gives RTI training to RWA’s and people to empower them so that they can fearlessly stand up against corruption around the. His goal is to make India the world’s most powerful and prosperous country.
