New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and ex MLA from Patel Nagar Shri Mewa Ram Arya passed away on 7th January in Delhi. Shri Arya was one of the leading figures in Delhi BJP who played a key role in expanding the party’s base amongst poor section and JJ colonies. He was also conferred Best MLA award in the first Legislative Assembly in Delhi. Hundreds of party workers and representatives from all walks of life – social, political, religion attended his prayer meeting.
Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, senior BJP leaders Shri P.K. Chandla and Shri Mool Chand Chawla, Ex Chief Whip Delhi Legislative Assembly Shri Ram Bhaj, LOP in Delhi Assembly Shri Vijendra Gupta, Former Pradesh President Satish Upadhyay, General Secretary Delhi BJP Shri Rajesh Bhatia, Former Mayor Delhi Shri Yogender Chandolia and many others paid homage to the departed soul.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that Shri Mevaram Arya was very soft spoken and a simple man. He served the party selflessly and never aspired for higher position. All of us should take inspiration from his contribution and sacrifice for the party. May God grant peace to his soul.
