The JNU unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organized a three-day ‘Mission Sahasi’ program for providing self-defense training to the girls on the occasion of ‘World Women’s Day’ on 5, 6 and 8 March. Inspite of heavy rains on the second day of the program more than 200 girl students participated in Mission Sahasi.
For the last two years, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has been giving self-defense training to millions of girl students through ‘Mission Sahasi’ program across India.
ABVP JNU Unit President Shivam Chaurasia said, “Through Mission Sahasi on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we are strengthening the women students of JNU Campus in the crucial aspect of self-defense. Through Mission Sahasi, courage is instilled in every woman so that she is ready to face any challenges.”
ABVP JNU Unit Secretary Govind Dangi said, “ABVP JNU has decided to organize this event by taking steps towards making girls and women self-reliant through this successful mission-led by ABVP across the country. I am confident that our efforts on this Women’s Day will accelerate the campaign for women empowerment. ”
