New Delhi: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra today inaugurated a modern social media Control Room for Assembly Election 2020 in Delhi at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. The Control Room has been setup in the second floor of Rajiv Bhawan where computer and WiFi facilities have been provided. Shri Subhash Chopra said that the Congress party will aggressively mount campaigns to counter the false propaganda by the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party Governments as well as popularize the achievements of the Congress Government during its 15-year rule in Delhi.
Prominent among those present were AICC In-charge of Delhi Shri P.C.Chacko, Congress party’s Social Media National chairman Shri Rohan Gupta, former DPCC president Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal, AICC secretary Shri Kuljit Singh Nagra, Shri Manish Chatrath, chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma, co-ordinator Saral Patel, Ms. Shivani Chopra, Shri Jitender Kumar Kochar (Jitu) and Rahul Sharma. The Control Room has been setup in the second floor of Rajiv Bhawan.
Addressing the media, Shri Subhash Chopra and Shri P.C.Chacko said that Congress will not have any tie-up with any party in the Assembly elections. They said that Congress alone will contest in all the 70 Assembly seats in Delhi. They said that Congress was confident of forming a Government in Delhi on its own.
Shri Subhash Chopra said that for the past two months, Congress has been holding extensive Halla Bol rallies across Delhi to expose the lies, failures, shortcomings and anti-people policies of both the BJP and AAP Governments. He said that the people of Delhi now realize the fact that only the Congress can provide stable and effective governance as the party’s 15-year development-driven rule bears testimony to that. Shri Subhash Chopra said that when Congress comes to power, one of its first priorities will be to give relief package up to 600 units of power to the consumers besides increasing the pension amount to Rs 5000 per month under the ‘Sheila Dikshit Pension Scheme’. He said that once the pension amount is hiked, then there will be no need for old age homes in the Capital.
Shri Rohan Gupta and Shri Mukesh Sharma said that the Control Room at Rajiv Bhawan will not only give befitting answers to the falsehood being spread by the BJP and AAP through the social media, but will also publicize Congress party’s people-friendly policies and achievements in the manifesto. Shri Rohan Gupta said that a roadmap will be worked out for the over one lakh people associated with the Congress party’s social media campaigns in the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi. He said that all the 70 Assembly constituencies will be linked to the Control Room to give the campaign details of the Congress candidates.
Shri Mukesh Sharma and Ms. Shivani Chopra said works have been allotted to over 40 people in the Control Room who are not only fully devoted Congress workers, but are also known in the social media. They said that as soon as the Delhi Assembly election dates are announced, the Control Room will function round-the-clock to disseminate information.
