New Delhi: Addressing the representatives of unrecognized schools, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Shri Vijender Gupta said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is determined to give recognition to unrecognized schools, if required BJP will not stay behind in amending the constitution to do the same. Representatives of about 700 schools including Shri Dinesh Jain, Shri Satish Singhal, Shri Anil Goyal, Shri Prem Singh Deshwal, Smt. Chandrakanta, Shri Anil Rastogi, Shri Ajay Gupta were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the school representatives, Shri Vijender Gupta said that the Kejriwal government wants to close the schools which are not recognized, but the question should not be the closing of these schools but the government should focus on finding ways in which these schools can be recognized. I have raised the question of accrediting unaccredited schools in the Vidhan Sabha as well, but they turned my mic off and I was marshalled out from the House. However my question is still valid and still relevant today. If Kejriwal would have listened to me and taken some effective steps in this direction, then there would have been no need for the non-accredited schools to protest on the streets.
Shri Gupta also said that you should fight for your rights and you all should come together to resolve your issues. He said that the rules should be simplified to give recognition and upgrade to these schools. Also, these schools have a heavy financial burden of being charged with commercial electricity tariffs and must be relaxed with lower domestic electricity tariffs.
