Addressing the Members of Bengali Community National Vice President and Delhi BJP Incharge Shri Shyam Jaju said that the Bengalies are a community of intellectuals and it has played important role in the freedom struggle of India. The relation of BJP with Bengal is very long. Bengal is also known for its nationalistic thinking but today Bengal is disconnected from the main stream of development of the country. The reason is that the Communists ruled this state for long and now the TMC is ruining Bengal. BJP has come forward to fight for the total development of Bengal. The present Bengal Government is playing the politics of appeasement and encouraging infiltration from Bangladesh. Congress, Left and TMC have worked to hurt the self respect of Bengal.
Shri Tarun Chugh said that BJP wants to salvage Bengal out of this difficult situation and under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi it wants to implement the policy of Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas. Prime Minister has implemented Aayushman Bharat in entire country but two states have obstructed its implementation. Kejriwal Government and Mamta Banerjee Government have deprived the people of Delhi and Bengal of the benefits of Aayushman Bharat and proved that they are the enemies of the people.
Smt. Debasree Chaudhuri said that today entire country respects the song Vandematram and the poet of this song was a Bengali Shri Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. Bengal has also sacrificed for the independence of the country. It is the land of Subhash Chandra Bose, Gurudev Ravindra Nath Tagore and Swami Vivekanand. A Son of Bengal Subhash Chandra Bose declared Bengal free from British rule in 1943 itself but today there is an atmosphere of terror in Bengal and the Government has given license to the criminals.
Welcoming the participants in Bengali, Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that a new unit will be formed for the Bengali society in Delhi BJP. This duty has been entrusted to the former Mayor Shri Adesh Gupta. He said that despite the Bengal society having such a large number in Delhi, it was not yet represented in the BJP, which will be given now. The Citizenship Amendment Bill is being opposed by the workers of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as Mamta’s public support in Bengal has been completely eroded.
Former Mayor Shri Adesh Gupta said that the Bengali Community is very laborious and they have played an important role since the freedom struggle and now in the development of the country. All the members of Bengali Community who have assembled here today should pledge that they will help in forming BJP Government in Delhi.
