New Delhi: South Delhi MP Shri Ramesh Bidhudi called upon the Head Sarpanchas of 70 villages from Palam to Badarpur to apprise people of the rural areas about the Citizenship Amendment Act and support. The program was addressed by BJP National General Secretary Shri Bhupendra Yadav. On this occasion, Pradesh Secretary Shri Vikram Bidhuri, District President Shri Vijay Pandit, Shri Indrajit Sehrawat, Councilor Smt. Mamta Dhama, Shri Aman Gupta, Smt. Sushma Godara and District General Secretary Shri Ranvir Tanwar were present.
Addressing the people present on the occasion, BJP National General Secretary Shri Bhupendra Yadav said that the Central Government has made it clear that the Citizenship Amendment Act is not going to be revoked. The Citizenship Amendment Law does not threaten the citizenship of any Muslim. This law is not for taking back citizenship of any person but to give citizenship to persecuted people on religious ground. Congress and Aam Aadmi Party are creating a state of fear on the basis of religion by spreading confusion in Delhi, which needs to be avoided. You are the head of the village and should convey the government’s decisions to the people in their respective areas and explain them about the CAA. Modi Ji gave citizenship to such people from Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Christian, Parsi community of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, who came to India as a refugee on or before 31 December 2014. BJP government respects every citizen of the country and their rights. The government never discriminates while giving benefits of Central government schemes. If the central government discriminated, the Muslim would not have benefited with the same.
South Delhi MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that all opposition parties have together done politics of appeasement and provoked our Muslim brothers, with the intention of harming the unity and integrity of the country. Let us all stand in favor of the Citizenship Amendment Act and thank Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi because he is the only Prime Minister who realised the sufferings of people persecuted on religious ground and served the cause for which Gandhi Ji used to fight. We call upon all Sarpanchas to take the benefits of the welfare schemes of Modi government to the people.
