Municipal Corporations works round the clock not ten minutes – Adesh Gupta
Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya free Maha Abhiyan has been launched by the Public Health Department of the three corporations of Delhi, under which awareness and fogging will be done to prevent these fatal diseases. As part of this campaign, Delhi BJP President Shri Adesh Gupta in Ward West Patel Nagar of North Municipal Corporation today performed fogging to prevent diseases. Shri Adesh Gupta started the Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya Free Maha Abhiyan from Civic Center of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation today and flagged off power spray tankers, fogging machines and 3 wheeler mounted with PA systems. On this occasion, South Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Anamika Mithilesh, Standing Committee President Shri Rajdatt Gehlot, Leader of the House Shri Narendra Chawla, Deputy Mayor Shri Subhash Bhadana, Standing Committee Vice-President Smt. Tulsi Joshi, Former Chairman of Standing Committee Smt. Shikha Rai along with councillors and office bearers were present.
Giving information about this campaign, Shri Adesh Gupta said that there is a risk of spreading many types of infectious diseases through mosquitoes after rain. Therefore, all the DBC workers of the Municipal Corporation will carry out breeding checks, fogging, anti larvae in every house and around it. He informed that the employees of the health department of the Municipal Corporation will go door-to-door and take all the information about the circumstances there through an assessment form in writing. Councillors along with RWA will conduct awareness campaigns and inform residents about dengue, chikungunya and malaria prevention. He said that the municipal corporations are concerned about the health of the people of Delhi and that is why this campaign has been started.
Shri Gupta said that the Municipal Corporations works round the clock, not ten minutes, and the promptness with which the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is working deserves appreciation. Delhi BJP along with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi is committed to keep the people of Delhi healthy and safe and together we will fulfill the pledge we have taken to free Delhi from dengue, chikungunya, malaria. I appeal to the people of Delhi to help us in this maha abhiyan and keep cleanliness around your houses to avoid diseases, avoid accumulation of dirty water.
