Desperate criminal carrying a reward of rs 25,000 held

New Delhi: The team of Police Station Neb Sarai, South District has done a commendable work by arresting a desperate criminal namely Ram Babu. He was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head. He was wanted in three cases of Police station Neb Sarai.

The staff of Police Station Neb Sarai was specifically tasked to curb the crime in the area of South District. Accordingly, the staff made sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence. Traps were mounted at the vulnerable areas at different time slots for prevention and detection in the area. The staff deployed on patrolling duty was also sensitized to keep a watch on suspicious movement to curb the crime.

While the staff of PS-Neb Sarai was putting sincere efforts to nab the criminals, a secret information was received by the staff that a desperate criminal who carried a reward of Rs. 25000/- declared by PHQ, Delhi, would come near Sainik farms, New Delhi. Immediately, acting upon the information, a team comprising of Inspector Naresh Soalnki, SI Anil Rathore, and others were formed.

The information was further developed and it was revealed that the criminal always carried weapon to evade his detection. Hence, the team so constituted was briefed about the criminal and directed to take all precautions as the criminal always carries weapons.
Consequently, the team was deployed on the strategic locations with arms, ammunition and BP Jackets near Ram-Balram farm in the jungle area near Sainik farms. As per input, at about 8.10 AM, a person was seen coming from the jungle side in a suspicious condition.
Based on identification and signal of the informer, the police team cordoned off the accused person and asked him to stop but he did not stop and suddenly started running towards the Jungle. When the police team started chasing him, he turned around and fired a bullet on the police team. The bullet fired by accused eventually hit on the B.P. Jacket of HC Narender.
Thereafter, the police team again warned him but despite warning he did not stop and while the accused tried to fire another bullet, he was overpowered by the police staff. Later on, the accused was identified as Rambabu. A country made pistol with 3 live cartridges were recovered from him.
