
New Delhi: Congress candidate for the Kalkaji Assembly constituency Shivani Chopra said that whatever development Delhi and Kalkaji witnessed happened during the 15-year rule of the Congress party. She said that when Congress comes to power, one of the most immediate priorities of the party would be to tackle unemployment facing the youth of Delhi by creating job opportunities and giving unemployment allowance, besides providing free and subsidized power and potable drinking water to the people, enhanced pension for the aged, widows and handicapped and 33 per cent reservation for women in jobs.
Shivani Chopra held people-interactions at Arya Samaj Mandir, A Block Double-Story, padayatra from Durga Mandir to Amritpuri and Prakash Mohalla. She also interacted with people at Govindpuri Hanuman Mandir bhandara, Sarai Julena, nursing quarters, Bharat Nagar and Maharani Bagh. She elaborated the Congress party’s future programmes to the people. Shivani Chopra is getting tremendous support from the local people where-ever she goes, pushing the other two political opponents to the back stage. Shivani Chopra was accompanied by Indu Verma, Khawinder Singh Captain, Chandra Prakash, all block presidents and a large number of Congress workers.
