New Delhi: To protest against economic slump, unemployment, poverty and the overall distress across the country due to the anti-people and disruptive policies of the Modi Government at the Centre, All India Congress Committee will organize a “Bharat Bachao Rally” at the Ramlila Ground on 14th December, Saturday, 2019. To make the rally a grand success, Delhi Congress, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra, has involved thousands of Congress workers and leaders of Delhi in the preparation of the rally.
Shri Subhash Chopra, along with former Delhi Ministers Shri Arvinder Singh Lovely and Shri Haroon Yusuf and Chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma, spent the whole day at the Ramlila ground to oversee the preparations for the rally. They were accompanied by a large number of Congress workers and leaders, and chairpersons and members of various committees constituted for the fool-proof arrangements of the rally. Former MLAs Anil Bhardwaj, Vijay Lochav, Darshana Ramkumar, Congress leader Bhram Yadav and a large number of women were also present.
Shri Subhash Chopra has not only been holding meetings in various parts of Delhi for the past many days for the preparation of the rally, but all the cells and departments of Pradesh Congress have been given various responsibilities for the successful conduct of the rally. Shri Chopra has also formed over a dozen committees for the smooth conduct of the rally.
Shri Subhash Chopra said that from Delhi alone, over 50,000 people will participate in the rally. Shri Chopra said that to make the rally successful, Congress workers have been deputed not only at the Assembly-levels, but also at ward-levels to mobilize common people for the rally.
Shri Mukesh Sharma said that Congress workers have put up hoardings and banners at Railway Stations, ISBT bus terminals and other public places to give wide publicity as lakhs of people are expected to participate in the rally. He said that the Pradesh Congress has made arrangements for the stay of those coming from outside the Capital near the Ramlila ground and nearby areas. He said that the entire area is being turned into a “Congress Nagar”.
