Delhi BJP organizes Workshops in connection with the campaign Mai Hoon Dilli, team of unauthorized colonies and Jhuggi-Jhopri clusters

New Delhi: Several Meetings and Workshop were organised at Delhi BJP Office today in connection with the campaign Mai Hoon Dilli, team of unauthorized colonies and Jhuggi-Jhopri clusters. All these meetings and workshops were addressed by the Union Minister and Delhi Election Incharge Shri Prakash Javadekar and National Secretary and Delhi Election Management Committee Convener Shri Tarun Chugh. Pradesh General Secretaries Shri Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Shri Ravinder Gupta, Shri Rajesh Bhatia, former Mayor Shri Adesh Gupta, JJ Cell Incharge Shri Neeraj Tiwari, Convener Shri Umesh Verma, Shri Khemchand Sharma were present on this occasion. A calendar on Jahan Jhuggi-Wahan Makan was also launched in the meeting in which BJP has fixed its target for the Jhuggi-Jhopdi dwellers.

Addressing the meetings and Delhi Election Incharge Shri Prakash Javadekar said that people of the country are watching Delhi Assembly Elections. All are anxious to know who will be the winner. The decision of Modi Government to confer ownership rights to the people of unauthorized colonies is not a decision taken in view of the elections rather it is a decision to do justice to people. Modi Government has erased the blot of unauthorized from the heads of 40 lakh people living in unauthorized colonies for the last 40 years. The Central Government had asked the Delhi Government to prepare maps of these colonies but they could not do so during the last 5 years and in the year 2019 requested for extending time by two years. After that the Central Government took over the responsibility and issued orders to DDA to prepare the Map. DDA has already opened centers all over Delhi in which registration forms are being filled up.

Shri Prakash Javadekar also said that our Government has framed a policy of Jahan Jhuggi Wahin Makan. There are 192 JJ Clusters in Delhi out of which survey work of 32 Jhuggi Camps has been completed and the survey of 160 clusters is going on. Approximately 15-20 lakh people live in these clusters and these people will be provided pucca houses under this scheme. The Chief Minister of Delhi has no land under his jurisdiction or has any rights over the lands of Delhi but he is distributing false allotment certificates to Jhuggi Dwellers. Central Government is going to allot two room sets with toilets, power, water and sewer connections to these people. The Central Government has already allotted 1 crore 12 lakh houses under Pradhanmantri Aawas Yojna to the needy persons but Kejriwal Government has not implemented this scheme in Delhi.

The Convener of Delhi Election Management Committee Shri Tarun Chugh said that we are facing an atmosphere of challenge these days because Aam Aadmi Party Government enjoyed the fruits of power for about 5 years but did not do anything for the people. It failed to fulfill the election promises. Kejrwal Government remained idle for 57 months and in the last 3 months it played a drama for making various announcements of freebees. We have to apprise the people about the historic decision of regularizing the unauthorized colonies by the Central Government. Delhi’s Kejriwal Govt. had also promised to implement the promise of Jahan Jhuggi Wahin Makaan but did not fulfill it.

Shri Chugh further said that Delhi Government failed to implement the PMAY in Delhi under which the Jhuggi dwellers could have been provided houses. Aam Aadmi Party wants to come to power again with the help of false promises. Our challenge is to expose this falsehood of Aam Aadmi Party. BJP will apprise the people about the Public Welfare Schemes of Modi Government and the failure of Kejriwal Government by making public contact. The people of Delhi will again vote for BJP in the upcoming Assembly Elections and will certainly form BJP Government in Delhi.
