Shri Subhash Chopra said that the Modi Government has failed to check price rise and economic slump. He said that the Modi Government has remained as a moot witness unable to check the spiraling prices of onions for the past few months. He said that this shows the incompetence and utter failure in administration by the BJP Government. Shri Chopra expressed his concern at the latest hike in the price of cooking gas cylinder by Rs 19 per cylinder which will further erode the limited household budgets of housewives. He said that the prices of gas cylinders for commercial use have also been steeply hiked. As a result, prices of eatables and tea in the markets have also gone up. Shri Chopra said that the hike in gas cylinder prices has inflicted a heavy dent on the people already suffering from the backlash of unemployment.
Chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma strongly condemned the latest price hike in cooking gas cylinder, other items and services and held the Modi Government responsible for the terrible plight of the people. Shri Mukesh Sharma said that the Congress workers, under the leadership of DPCC president Shri Subhash Chopra, will hold a dharna outside Shastri Bhawan at 2 p.m tomorrow, Thursday, 2nd January, 2020 demanding the roll back of the cooking gas price hike.
