Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra, while welcoming the Election Commission’s announcement of Delhi Assembly election date today, said that Congress will enter the election arena in full force with all its might. Shri Chopra said that Congress will secure majority in the Assembly elections and form Government on its own strength. Shri Chopra said that the Assembly election tides are turning in favour of the Congress party as the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party made only hollow promises as none of them was fulfilled.
Shri Subhash Chopra said that Congress party has already setup a Control Room for the Assembly elections at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, which will be linked to all the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi. He said that Delhi Congress has been on election mode for the past few weeks, holding Halla Bol rallies, dharnas and demonstrations across the Capital to not only expose the failures and falsehood of the BJP and AAP Governments, but also highlighting the achievements of the Congress Government, headed by Smt. Sheila Dikshit, for 15 years when Delhi witnessed all-round developments to make it one of the best metropolitan cities in the world.
Shri Subhash Chopra said that Delhi Congress has constituted dynamic and energetic teams of Congress workers at the Block and Ward levels to give a big thrust to the party’s election campaigns. He said that Congress will also be very active in the social media from its Control Room to take the message of the party to a cross-section of people. Shri Chopra said that the people of Delhi have lost their faith in the BJP and AAP, and they are now pinning their hopes on the Congress to provide a stable and development-oriented Government in Delhi.
Chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma said that all the 70 Assembly constituencies have been linked to the Control Room at Rajiv Bhawan for effective co-ordination of election activities, and the party will intensify its attacks on the BJP and AAP for their utter failures on all fronts in the coming days. He said that the people of Delhi are now looking at the Congress party and the Assembly elections in Delhi will provide a stunning outcome in favour of the Congress.
