On the occasion of the 550th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Subhash Chopra, along with a Sikh Sangath, called on Congress president Smt. Sonia Gandhi at her residence at 10 Janpath and presented her a sword.
Shri Subhash Chopra was accompanied by former MLA Sardar Tarwinder Singh Marwah, chief spokesperson Shri Mukesh Sharma, Sardar Harcharan Singh Josh, Shri Jitender Kochar Jitu, Sardar Abjit Singh Gulati, SardarniVaryam Kaur, Shri Gurcharan Singh Raju, Shri Jagjit Singh Sikka, Shri Aman Arora, Shri Sukhwinder Babbar, Shri Kuljit Singh, Shri Tony Sabbarwal, Shri Arjun Singh, Shri Harpreet Singh, Shri Gurmit Singh and Shri Rajat Makker.
Shri Subhash Chopra prayed at several Gurdwaras in Delhi today andand also partook in the Guru Ki Langar. A large number of people from the Sikh community met Shri Chopra at his residence and at the DPCC office, and presented him swords. Shri Chopra said that Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji is not only known all over the world, but also practices his preaching. Shri Chopra extended his best wishes to the Sikh community of Delhi on Gurpurab and praised their valour and courage. He said that the Sikh community has played a very important role in the development of the country.
Shri Mukesh Sharma said that on the occasion of the 550th Prakash Parab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, was decorated with lights and diyas.
