Why did Kejriwal deprived the poor of their bread and butter by closing Janaahar Canteen- Vijender Gupta

Leader of Opposition Shri Vijender Gupta addressed a press conference at BJP Pradesh Office today questioning the Chief Minister Kejriwal, who is withholding the ration been given to the poor of Delhi by the Central Government. On this occasion, Pradesh Media In-charge Shri Neelkant Bakshi, Media Head Shri Ashok Goel Devraha was present.

Addressing the media persons, Shri Vijendra Gupta said that the Kejriwal government of Delhi has always deprived the poor and slum dwellers living in Delhi from the welfare schemes of the Center. Whether it is to give houses to poor or food grains, Kejriwal will always be a hindrance. Kejriwal government allowed the Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Household Scheme to be implemented in some way but still deprived poor of its benefits. The anti-poor Kejriwal government has taken away their rights from the poor, for which they will never forgive them. The minister of the Aam Aadmi Party are now threatening the DDA and trying to be a hurdle between giving ownership to people living in unauthorized colonies.

Shri Gupta said that under Antyodaya Yojana, the Central Government provides ration every month to 1,56,800 poor families in Delhi and under the Household Priority Scheme, Central government is proving grains at the rate of Rs 2 per Kg wheat and Rs.3 per Kg rice for 72,77,995 people that means each person is given 5 kg of food grains. Delhi government is also liking it, therefore neither giving ration cards to the beneficiaries nor distributing the ration. Still, about 90 thousand poor are deprived of Antyodaya Anna Yojana and about 5 lakh poor have been deprived of Priority Household Scheme. Delhi government has stopped the work of giving ration and making ration card since July 2019.

Shri Gupta said that Kejriwal assured the poor of Delhi that by closing the canteens running under Janadhar Yojana by the Central Government, the Aam Aadmi canteens will open in which the poor will get food at cheaper rate, but like other promises, this promise also turned out to be false. Delhi government closed Janaadhar canteen and the Aam Aadmi canteen was also not opened. I would like to ask the head of the Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal, why did you deprive the poor from the benefits of Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Household Scheme? Why did you stop Janaadhar canteens and deprived the poor of their bread and butter? In 5 years, the Delhi government was neither able to give pucca houses in lieu of slum nor regularized unauthorized colonies, but now when the Central government has started the work of giving ownership to the people by regularizing these colonies, then why Aam Aadmi Party former Minister Somnath Bharti threatening DDA?
