New Delhi: Addressing the media persons, MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri exposed the lies of Delhi government on improving education system. Pradesh Media Co-incharge Shree Neelkant Bakshi, Media Head Shri Ashok Goel Devraha, Media Committee Co-head Shri Mahesh Verma were present on this occasion.
MP Shri Ramesh Bidhuri said that during the last five years, the people of Delhi have been cheated on every issue. By spending crores in advertisements, the Kejriwal government has robbed the hard earned money of the public. Kejriwal government had promised to open 500 new government schools and 20 new colleges for better education, due to which people expected that now they will not have to go far for the admission of their children and they will be able to study in the nearby school, but Delhi government failed to open even 10 new government schools. There are almost 80-82 plots allotted to build new schools but are vacant. Instead of making new schools, playgrounds had been destroyed and new classrooms have been made. No new colleges have been constructed, neither has the government recruited 17,000 teachers needed urgently. They have also not regularized the 20,000 guest teachers. Only 50 percent of 8500 vacant posts in schools have been filled till date. Kejriwal government has betrayed his guru Anna Hazare and then the teachers of Delhi. It has been unfolded in RTI that about 2.5 lakh students left the government schools in last 2 years. Result of tenth standard dropped from 98.8% to 71%, but Kejriwal is still lying.
Shri Bidhuri said that the Kejriwal government spent crores in advertisements and advertised in all over Delhi in the name to better education system to get applauds but the truth is that Delhi government has played with the future of children. Dreams of poor families who were waiting for the opening of schools in their area for the better future of children also disappointed.
Shri Bidhuri said that in view of better facilities, people still want to enroll in Kendriya Vidyalaya instead of Delhi government school. Delhi government has withheld funds due to the MCD, but with the help of the MCD and the Centre, many school buildings have been built for poor children in Delhi. The work Kejriwal government should have done in Delhi was instead done by the Center and the MCD and provided all the facilities to the school children of Delhi.
Shri Bidhuri further said that in the last five years, only 23 children have been given loans for higher education and those children were brought on TV to make a statement. Instead of teaching children, events are being organized, their time is being wasted in the name of skill development and they are being exploited. Kejriwal government has crushed the dreams of Delhi’s children and their parents, for which they will never forgive them.
